I, Jennifer "Jenny" Walls (she/they) am a violinist, and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for performance, leadership, and education.
Native to St. Mary's County, MD, I began my after picking up the violin at age 7. At the age of 11, I began to study with renowned violinist, chamber musician, and teacher, Adina Vallandingham of Kassia Music Ensemble and The National Philharmonic Orchestra. In the years since, I have had the privilege of studying with teachers, conductors, and coaches including Maestro Simone Tartaglione, Vladimir Lande, Jose Cueto, Julien Benichou, Inez Redman, Benjamin Smith and numerous other renowned music professionals across the country, and world.
In addition to working with the previously listed, and numerous more, coaches, conductors and teachers over the last 20 years, I also have had the opportunity to perform within, and alongside groups including, but not limited to, COSMIC Symphony, Blue Ridge Orchestra, the UNCA Scholarship String Quartet, Endless Fields, Aspen Trio, and Brooklyn Rider.
Outside of my western classical music training, I have had the opportunity to play alongside, and become immersed in many different genres of playing including pop, folk, electronic music, avant-garde, bluegrass, old time, traditional Irish, and more.
As of 2025, my current pedagogical development plan focuses on traditional Irish music, and improvisation based folk-fusion fiddle music.
Alongside my pedagogical studies, I began teaching private one-on-one lessons in 2016, during my junior year of high school. Being one of the lucky few to have found their calling early in life, I've made it a point to continually develop my skills as an educator in the near decade since, even while focusing on my performance and business education. I've had the privilege of working with an extremely diverse roster of students and been given opportunities to collaborate with a number of wonderful private music schools, studios, and organizations.
